Description

Using the Emperors & Jewels exhibition as inspiration, learn to design and create your own jewellery using a variety of materials. Learn the basics of wire work, and simple techniques to create a beautiful and professional finish.

Bio:
Arzina Murji is an artist and educator, skilled in an array of art forms, including jewellery design, henna application, and yoga instruction. Originally from Tanzania, Arzina came to Canada in 1975 to further her studies. She holds a Masters degree in Education from the University of Toronto, a certificate in professional henna application from the Ash Kumar Academy, and a certificate in Kripalu yoga instruction from Sunlil Yoga Toronto. In addition to English, Arzina is fluent in several languages, including Spanish, Gujarati, Kutchi, and Hindi. Arzina's years of experience in both Education and the arts have inspired her to share her passion with us here at the Aga Khan Museum in the capacity of yoga classes, exhibition tours, arts workshops, and specially designed jewellery for the Aga Khan Museum Gift Shop.
