Description

We kick off our 5th annual Duende: Flamenco Festival with a stirring performance from the iconic matriarch of Toronto's flamenco community, Esmeralda Enrique — a dancer who says flamenco allows her to “communicate beyond what words can describe and beyond what movement can say.” Enrique will be joined by her acclaimed Spanish Dance Company.

Afterwards, we celebrate the festival’s opening with a reception, featuring an authentic cuadro- style Flamenco performance from leaders of the city’s Flamenco community, including from Flamenco Tablao Toronto.
